Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (tuʼ "try to make like; mimic; rival"), while Luce gives Old Chinese (OC *tuːbs, “to correspond to”) and Tibetan དོ་ (do), དོད (dod, equivalent) as cognates, as well as grouping the word etymologically together with တူ (tu, to be alike).[1]
