Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (athaññ "cloth"). Luce gives Old Chinese (OC *kljɯnʔ, *kljɯns, “plain unlined garment”), which appears phonetically and semantically reasonable (based on the Baxter-Sagart, not the Zhengzhang, reconstruction).[1]
