From Proto-Semitic [Term?], a derivation of Proto-Semitic *ṯin- (“two”). Cognates include Ge'ez ሳንይ (sanəy, “the day after”), Tigrinya ሰኑይ (sänuy) and Tigre ሳኖ (sano).
