     ጣና ለዓለም ሥነ-ምኅዳራዊ ብዝሃነት ያስፈልጋሉ ከተባሉ 250 ሐይቆች መካከል አንዱ ሆኖ ተመርጧል። በውስጡ 28 የዓሳ ዝርያዎችን የያዘ ሲሆን ከእነዚህ መካከልም 21 ያህሉ በሌላ ቦታ አይገኙም።

     Tana has been selected as one of the 250 lakes in need of global ecological diversity. It contains 28 species of fish, 21 of which are found nowhere else.
