Etymology[edit]

Named after the white-browed Chinese warbler, Rhopophilus pekinensis, which also is known for its long tail. From 꼬리치레 (kkorichire, white-browed Chinese warbler) +‎ 도롱뇽 (dorongnyong, salamander).
