  2. (popular, colloquial) to haggle
  3. (popular, colloquial) to insist or bother too much about obtaining something, especially in an ungracious or impolite manner

Usage notes[edit]

Because it derives from negative stereotypes of the Roma people, and uses the problematic exonym țigan, this term is likely to offend Romani people. See the note regarding the use of țigan.
