Probably borrowed from Old Church Slavonic иѥроусалимъ (ijerusalimŭ) from Ancient Greek Ἱερουσᾱλήμ (Hierousālḗm), from Hebrew יְרוּשָׁלַיִם (Yərūšālayim). Taraškievica form derives from Old Church Slavonic ѥроусалимъ (jerusalimŭ). Compare Russian Иерусали́м (Ijerusalím), Ukrainian Єрусали́м (Jerusalým).
