From му́сор (músor) +‎ -ня (-nja), modified by analogy with звона́рня (zvonárnja, bell tower), гонча́рня (gončárnja, pottery workshop), бонда́рня (bondárnja, cooperage), based on agent nouns ending in -а́рь (-árʹ).
