Etymology

Shortened form of おはよう (ohayō “good morning”). Popularized by the 1997 television program Oha Suta, and subsequently by singer/actor Shingo Katori.

     ユーザーの「おはよう」という発(はつ)話(わ)に対(たい)し、ボットが「おはようございます」と返(へん)信(しん)するもの。この場(ば)合(あい)、ユーザーが「おっはー」と入(にゅう)力(りょく)すると返(へん)信(しん)不(ふ)能(のう)となってしまう。

     Yūzā no “ohayō” to iu hatsuwa ni taishi, botto ga “ohayō gozaimasu” to henshin suru mono. Kono bāi, yūzā ga “ohhā” to nyūryoku suru to henshin funō to natte shimau.

     In response to the user's “ohayō” the bot responds “ohayō gozaimasu”. If the user inputs “ohhā” at this point the bot is incapable of responding.
