Etymology[edit]

From The Jetsons, an American animated sitcom airing in prime time from 1962 to 1963. The show portrayed the life of the Jetsons, a family living in the year 2062 in a futuristic utopia of elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms, and whimsical inventions.
