  1. (weather, US, Southern California) Any of several gloomy weather conditions present during June mornings, especially conditions of clouds, cool temperatures, fog, or drizzle.

Usage notes[edit]

  • Some people also use this phrase to describe similar Southern California weather conditions in May, but others refer to such conditions in May as May gray.
