Etymology[edit]
Compared to Proto-Turkic *tiāĺ (“stone”) (Turkish taş, Chuvash чул (čul, “stone”)), Proto-Tungusic *ʒola (“stone”) (Evenki дёло (ʒolo, “stone”)), Korean 돌 (dol, “stone”) under the discredited Altaic hypothesis. (Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
