Fujiwara no Teika[edit]

This is just the name of a person, as is Fujiwara Teika, so they do not meet the criteria for inclusion, unless I'm missing something. --Haplology (talk) 11:53, 19 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Delete per the entry itself. Mglovesfun (talk) 17:57, 19 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Ditto that. This would be an appropriate entry at w:Fujiwara no Teika (oh, look, there it is), but it's encyclopedic, and not dictionary material.
That said, I find that Shogakukan's Kokugo Dai Jiten includes a listing, as does Daijirin and Daijisen. Meanwhile, we have a listing for Shakespeare, and Fujiwara no Teika was arguably a similarly important author.
In light of the fact that neither Fujiwara no Teika nor Fujiwara Teika are especially well-known names in the English-speaking world, and that English-speaking users of the EN WT might run across this name and try to look it up here, it might behoove us to find the citations needed to keep the listing -- but solely as a stub entry soft-redirecting the user to the EN WP article. A quick look at google books:"藤原定家らしい" "の" ("Fujiwara-no-Teika-like") shows two possible citations of use, and google books:"藤原定家らしさ" ("Fujiwara-no-Teika-ness") finds two more. -- Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 18:01, 19 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't it violate the vote on names of individuals because it's a name + surname combination? Mglovesfun (talk) 10:55, 20 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I missed that. If it does, so be it -- no real skin off my nose.  :) -- Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 22:47, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
