@DCDuring, Metaknowledge, can you check out this taxonomic name? WP has only the first sense, but the species name (said to be the only one in the genus) does not seem to be attested, although the genus name is. I am not sure, without doing more digging, if the second sense/genus is obsolete or not (the family does not seem to be). - -sche (discuss) 17:52, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Done (though DCD will want to add some formatting touches). WP had misspelt the species name (apparently based on a misspelling in the literature). Neither is obsolete and both are trivially citable; the ICZN and ICBN are independent, so an animal and a plant can have the same genus name. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 19:57, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
