Possibly...? The reduplication is very indicative of Austronesian, but on the other hand Tok Pisin is from Austronesian substrate itself and often likes to apply reduplication to avoid homophones (e.g. sipsip). —Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 05:38, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
