Czech: Rfv-sense: imperative of vidět (to see), added by Droigheann. I know the imperative form viz, which is also given in Internetová jazyková příručka, but I do not think that the viď is used in this sense. Google test is practically impossible because of the widely used question tag viď. The journal Naše řeč states that the question tag is a distorted version of Old Czech vědě ("I know"). --Jan Kameníček (talk) 20:13, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I support this nomination. Now, some people say that inflected forms should not need attestation. They could say, "viď" is the expected imperative of "vidět", just like "styď" is an imperative of "stydět". My response would be that if "viď" is not actually used as an imperative of "vidět", and "viz" is used instead, then "viď" should not be reported to be an imperative of vidět, regardless of any regularity or analogy existing. --Dan Polansky (talk) 17:18, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like a few attestations can be found, one in literature: 1, 2, 3. Should be labelled non-standard perhaps? Guldrelokk (talk) 21:28, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Guldrelokk: cs:S:Pověsti/Pomsta is an excellent find; the other two are not in permanently recorded media (WT:ATTEST). --Dan Polansky (talk) 12:20, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Dan Polansky: What about some of these? Guldrelokk (talk) 15:39, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Guldrelokk: These are in the sense derived from "vědět", as if "věď". --Dan Polansky (talk) 16:33, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Dan Polansky: Right, sorry. 1, 2? Guldrelokk (talk) 17:07, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Guldrelokk: Stručná vlastivěda Moravy a Slezska, "(viď tento)", is again a good find, so we have two. Smrt Smail-agy Čengice (number 2), "Viď, tam Brdjané jsou", is not so clear. The clear cases as those where "viď" has a direct object. --Dan Polansky (talk) 17:16, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Dan Polansky: Is this fine? Guldrelokk (talk) 17:31, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Guldrelokk: Yes, "tak si ho nekomplikuj a viď ho jasně." from NYC GIRL, příběhy z New Yorku, Veronika Kafková, 2017 seems fine. Cited. Thank you for your effort indeed. --Dan Polansky (talk) 17:37, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
