Hi, welcome to my Wiktionary user page. I've been around here for a couple of years now, mostly adding and (hopefully) improving coverage of Welsh, Luxembourgish and Icelandic vocabulary, and also adding English words and idioms when they're missing. I've never studied languages formally but have taught myself bits of French, Welsh, Icelandic and Luxembourgish. My French is passable, but my Icelandic and Luxembourgish are pretty rusty. I've only just started with Welsh, although it's going quite well so far and I'm determined not to give up on it like I have done with other languages in the past.
I also have an account at English Wikipedia, but I hardly ever edit there any more and this is my main account now.
If you see me mess up, feel free to revert and if you want to, leave a message on my talk page.
- Current tasks
- I started learning Welsh a couple of months ago and realised that our coverage of the language was quite poor with even the most basic terms being absent so I've added quite a lot of Welsh entries recently.
- I've been reading a lot more French lately and just been adding words we didn't have entries for as and when I've come across them, for example: réapprendre, une-deux, pastille.
- In the past I've tried to learn Icelandic and Luxembourgish but got stuck and downhearted so I don't edit these languages as much nowadays, but I still add missing words every now and again.
- Adding translations for these four languages to English entries where they're missing.
