Thank you for your recent edits. However, the meanings you've added are incorrect. From your recent edit history, I suspect you're the same user as 90.209.77.78 (talk). Even if you're not, please have a look at the Talk page there about Wiktionary conventions and the best place to put information in an entry. -- Kind regards, Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 01:04, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello again --
Thanks for your edits, things are looking much cleaner! (^^); -- Cheers, Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 23:16, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello again -- I'm afraid I've had to revert one of your recent edits to the page, and I thought I should explain here why I did that. The content under the Han character heading is attested in the references listed under the References heading just below that. You can look at the relevant page from the Kangxi dictionary online here, and it clearly describes a device used for catching animals. The sense of a more general trap would seem to be specific to Japanese. -- Hope this helps, Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 19:31, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've just reverted your edits to . I'm afraid your changes were incorrect. I would strongly recommend that you get a copy of a Japanese-English dictionary before continuing to work on Japanese entries. I'm happy you're so enthusiastic about Wiktionary, and I hope you continue to work on the project. You might also consider registering a username, as it makes it much easier to participate more fully. -- Kind regards, Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 23:38, 3 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

結界[edit]

Just reverted your edits to 結界. Here's why:

  1. In the Buddhist sense, this term does not appear to be limited to Japanese, so saying "A Japanese-Buddhist term" is incorrect. (There also shouldn't be a hyphen.)
  2. Pertain generally isn't used to mean "to mean something", so replacing "meaning" with "pertaining to" is incorrect.
  3. Reworking "shield" to come at the end and rewording "A manga or animé term" to "A term used in manga and animé", while correct in terms of meaning, are both longer than is needed and are generally poor style.

I appreciate your energy in working on Wiktionary. I hope my explanations help you understand better how to structure a Wiktionary entry. -- Kind regards, Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 00:17, 4 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
