English

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

Incorrectly formed by analogy with words like octogenarian (from octōgintā (eighty)) and nonagenarian (from nōnāgintā (ninety)). However there is no "centaginta"; the correct Latin is centum (one hundred)).

Noun

[edit]

centagenarian (plural centagenarians)

  1. (nonstandard) A centenarian.
