diporpa (plural diporpae)

  1. (zoology) A juvenile diplozoid that has not yet coupled with another individual.

      As noted above, the diporpa is capable of locomotion and if it should meet another diporpa, the ventral sucker of one individual grasps the dorsal papilla of the other.
