Noun[edit]

marilith (plural mariliths)

  1. (fantasy) A powerful female demon with six arms and the lower body of a snake.
    • 1993, Doug Stewart, Gary Gygax, Monstrous Manual, page 338:
A marilith can also constrict with her deadly tail. If the tail hits in combat, it wraps around a victim, automatically inflicting 4- 24 points of crushing damage each round.
    • 2001, Kate Nepveu, “some tough questions?”, in rec.games.roguelike.nethack (Usenet):
If you play with certain demons (mariliths, vrocks, hezrous, bone devils, nalfeshnees, pit fiends, or water demons), you could eventually get Yeenoghu anywhere, and then he could get you Demo.
