Either from Proto-Albanian *tśōr-, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱeh3-(i-) 'to sharpen, whet'[1], or from Proto-Indo-European *derə- (to tear, tear apart) (compare Ancient Greek δέρω (derō, to skin), Old English teran (to tear, lacerate), German zehren (to consume, misuse)).
