Usage notes[edit]

There was a suggestion to read "two" as โท (too) while calling or saying a phone number, to distinguish from สาม (sǎam), due to dated low-quality voicing technology. Nowadays, the "two" can be normally read as สอง (sɔ̌ɔng).
