  • curprev 11:5611:56, 27 March 2022Mlgc1998 talk contribs 1,069 bytes +55 i know someone in my family who keeps saying 劈(phiak) for scenarios when i would've expected to hear the Tagalog biak/biyak instead, since they basically mean the same, but that person normally speaks in hokkien and upon closer hearing, he was indeed saying phiak than the biak i always thought he was saying. upon asking him, he did not seem to know the Tagalog word biak lol. in hindsight, many -iak rhyming Tagalog words might have Hokkien roots. undo
