Etymology[edit]
Learned borrowing from Ancient Greek ἐνθύμη(σις) (enthúmē(sis), “consideration, esteem; anxiety”) + -ση (-si). Morphologically analysed as εν- (en-, “in”) + θύμηση (thýmisi, “memory”)
