Etymology

Deverbative of μέριμνα (mérimna, anxiety, concern). Cognates include Latin memor and Sanskrit स्मरति (smarati, to think, to recollect)

      kaì perì endúmatos tí merimnâte; katamáthete tà krína toû agroû pôs auxánousin; ou kopiôsin oudè nḗthousin
