The term is still used to refer to Russia during Ukraine's present war against Russia, despite the fact that the two countries had severed relations. Like ₚосі́я (ᵣosíja) and other terms related to Russia, the Ukrainian government and some Ukrainians write the name in small letters: рф (rf).
