Usage notes
- гнѣздо (gnězdo) is one of the few Russian terms in pre-1918 orthography in which a stressed ѣ (jě) is pronounced like the letter ё (jo). It is therefore written with a diaeresis in a similar fashion: ѣ̈ (jǒ).
