Cognate with Turkish gelmek (to come).

Verb[edit]

килеү (kilew) (intransitive)

  1. (spatial) to come, travel towards the speaker
    Бүреләр ауылға яҡын килһә, эттәр өрә башлай.
    Bürelər awılğa yaqın kilhə, ettər örə başlay.
    If wolves come close to the village, dogs begin to bark.
  2. to arrive
    Изге ҡәбергә килеп, тубыҡлынып доға ҡылдым.
    İzge qəbergə kilep, tubıqlınıp doğa qıldım.
    Having arrived to the holy grave, I kneeled and made a prayer.
  3. (time) to come, occur, begin
    Яҙ һуң килде.
    Yaź huñ kilde.
    The spring came late.
