From *čïn (true, real), presumably borrowed from Sinitic (MC tsyin, “true, real”).

Cognate with Old Uyghur [script needed] (čïn, true, real); Tatar чын (çın), Kazakh шын (şyn), Uzbek chin, Khakas сын (sın), Tuvan шын (şın, true, real), etc.
