From նի- (ni-) +‎ հայիմ (hayim).

նայիմ (nayim)  (aorist indicative նայեցայ)

  1. to look at, to cast the eyes on; to gaze at, to stare at; to view, to gaze on, to behold
  2. to perceive by the mind, to apprehend
  3. (figuratively) to mind, to take care, to be careful
