  1. to lose
    אבדתי את הארנק שלי.
    I lost my wallet.
  2. to drop from memory, to forget
  3. to destroy, obliterate
    • Tanach, Ecclesiastes 9:18, with translation of the King James Version:
      טוֹבָה חָכְמָה מִכְּלֵי קְרָב וְחוֹטֶא אֶחָד יְאַבֵּד טוֹבָה הַרְבֵּה׃
      ṭoḇɔ ḥɔḵmɔ mikkəle qərɔḇ wəḥoṭɛʔ ʔɛḥɔḏ yəʔabbeḏ ṭoḇɔ harbe
