Hebrew

Etymology

Cognate with Arabic ظُهْر (ẓuhr) and Aramaic טהרא (ṭahrā). For use of the dual, compare ערביים / עַרְבַּיִם ('arbáyim, twilight, dusk). Equivalent to the dual of צוהר / צֹהַר (tsóhar). Perhaps distantly related to זוהר / זֹהַר (zóhar).
