- Tanach, 1 Kings 18:35, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:
- וַיֵּלְכוּ הַמַּיִם סָבִיב לַמִּזְבֵּחַ; וְגַם אֶת־הַתְּעָלָה מִלֵּא־מָיִם.
- vayyeləchú hammáyim savív lammizbéaḥ; vəgam et-hattə'alá millé-máyim.
- And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
