   • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 17:67:

     وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الضُّرُّ فِي الْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَن تَدْعُونَ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ

     waʔiḏā massakumu ḍ-ḍurru fī l-baḥri ḍalla man tadʕūna ʔillā ʔiyyāhu

     And when adversity touches you at sea, lost are [all] those you invoke except for Him.
