[edit]Borrowed from Arabic تَكْفُور (takfūr), from Middle Armenian թագւոր (tʻagwor), from Old Armenian թագաւոր (tʻagawor), from Parthian *tag(a)-bar (“king”, literally “crown bearing”). Doublet of تاجور (tājwar / tâjvar, “king”).
