[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit *𑀲𑀺𑀭𑀸𑀳𑀸𑀡 (*sirāhāṇa), from Sanskrit *शिरआधान (śiraādhāna). Cognate with Hindustani سرہانہ / सिरहाना (sirhānā), Nepali सिरानि (sirāni), and Punjabi سرہانا / ਸਿਰਹਾਣਾ (sirhāṇā).
