شي (šīm (plural إشيا (ʾišya) or أشيا (ʾašya))

    haydi ʾišya ktīr mhimme.
    These are very important things.

Usage notes

Only when plural or construed with the definite article. The predominant term for thing otherwise is شغلة (šaḡle, thing).
