صَحَّفَ (ṣaḥḥafa) II (non-past يُصَحِّفُ (yuṣaḥḥifu), verbal noun تَصْحِيف (taṣḥīf))

  1. to set the disambiguating marks in the script erroneously, to mishit with the pen (to misvocalize, to point rasm wrong, or the like outside Arabic script, say putting wrong macrons in Latin script)
