Borrowed from Middle Persian [script needed] (tasūg), equivalent to Classical Persian تسو (tasū).

  1. a weight measure being 124 of a مِثْقَال (miṯqāl), 1.8 grams, from the Safavids in the 16th century 0.195 gram, equalling the later Egyptian a قِيرَاط (qīrāṭ)
