From the root ك س ح (k-s-ḥ).

Noun

كَاسِحَة (kāsiḥaf (plural كَاسِحَات (kāsiḥāt) or كَوَاسِح (kawāsiḥ))

  1. something that sweeps, sweeper, plow
    1. snowblower, snowplow, icebreaker (but then often qualified by جَلِيد (jalīd), ثَلْج (ṯalj) and the like)
    2. minesweeper (usually كَاسِحَة أَلْغَام (kāsiḥa ʔalḡām))
