Etymology[edit]

From ٹُنْڈ (ṭunḍ), inherited from Sanskrit टुंट (ṭuṃṭa), Sanskrit *टुण्ट (*ṭuṇṭa). Cognate with Urdu ٹُنْٹا (ṭunṭā) / ٹُنْڈا (ṭunḍā) and Hindi टुंटा (ṭuṇṭā).
