Etymology

Compare with Central Kurdish چەرمگ (čarmig, white) and the Iranian borrowings: Old Armenian ճերմակ (čermak, white (of a horse)), Georgian ჭარმაკი (č̣armaḳi), ჭარმაგი (č̣armagi), ჭარმაღი (č̣armaɣi).
