- ˁaynā lā kē māṣyā āmrā l-īḏā: “lā ìwān snīqtā illāḵ”; w-rēšā lā kē māṣē āmēr l-ˁaqlā: “lā ìwen snīqā illāḵ”.
- The eye cannot say to the hand: “I do not need you”; nor again the head to the foot: “I do not need you.”
Usage notes
[edit]- (to need): While ܣܢܝܼܩܵܐ (snīqā) is an adjective, it is used in much the same way as a present-tense verb. For the past, non-past, and imperative forms; the corresponding forms of the verb ܗܵܘܹܐ (hāwē) + the adjective ܣܢܝܼܩܵܐ (snīqā) are used.
