Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Indo-Iranian *HabʰawHát, from Proto-Indo-European *h₁e-bʰewH-é-t (simple thematic aorist verb). Cognate with Avestan 𐬀𐬠𐬀𐬎𐬎𐬀𐬝 (abauuat̰), Old Persian [script needed] (abava).
