Etymology

Inherited from Prakrit 𑀓𑀭𑀫𑀤𑁆𑀤 (karamadda), from Sanskrit करमर्द (karamarda).[1] Cognate with Gujarati કરમદી (karamdī) and Hindustani کَرَونْدَو / करौंदा (karaundā).
