From Old Marathi 𑘎𑘱𑘚𑘰 (kiḍā), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "pmh" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., from Sanskrit कीट (kīṭa). Cognate with Konkani किडो (kiḍô), Gujarati કીડો (kīḍo), Hindi कीड़ा (kīṛā), Punjabi ਕੀਡ਼ਾ (kīṛā). Related to कीड (kīḍ).
