Etymology

From Old Marathi चाटणे (cāṭaṇe), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 348: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "pmh" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E.. Cognate to Gujarati ચાટવું (cāṭvũ), Hindi चाटना (cāṭnā), Bengali চাটা (caṭa).
