[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘕𑘰𑘽𑘤𑘳𑘯 (jāṃbuḷa), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀚𑀁𑀩𑀼𑀮 (jaṃbula), from Sanskrit जम्बुल (jambula), alternative form of जम्बु (jambu) whence जांब (jāmba).
