Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Old Hindi दसवै (dasavai), दसवैं (dasava͠i, Rājasthānī manuscripts) (with adverbializing affix -ai),[1] from Sauraseni Prakrit दसम (dasama), from Sanskrit दशम (daśamá). Doublet of दशम (daśam) and दहुम (dahum). Equivalent to दस (das) + -वाँ (-vā̃).
